Lea MacNally about to insert tag in ear of red deer calf

This striking portrait shows Lea inserting ear tags into the ear of a red deer calf. This is almost certainly Lea MacNally who, with a life time of experience with red deer, as stalker, naturalist and author and worked for a time with the Red deer Commission? He would have been involved in annual counts on hills, forest and mountain areas trying estimate deer populations, survival rates and movement patterns. The tagging would be an aid in that work and one of the methods prior to use of radio collars.
The location is described as Culachy with no further detail but could this be the Culachy Estate located south of Fort Augustus?
Any other points and confirmation if Lea worked for the Deer Commission would be appreciated.
