Don says ‘ Taken during the mid 60’s from memory but certainly before father moved to Torlundy. Hamish Reid was father’s Forester at Ardross Forest and he and his wife Marjorie (Dollac) lived next door to us at Fox Farm, Ardross (We moved from Mid-Ardross to Fox Farm early 60’s). The Dinner Dance was held in the Cummings Hotel, Inverness if my memory serves me correctly’.

Happy memories of all in the photo. Hamish was a great dancer and taught us young ladies to dance at the monthly dances in our hall at Ardross 'the Nissan Hut' and played bowls with Alec and Isobel at Alness and we still play for the MacLeman trophy at the club.

Hi Marie - great to see your comment about Hamish, my father and mother. I never knew such a thing as a MacLeman trophy existed but pleased that there is.
