Felled Beech at Stobhall Estate
The image is courtesy of Tam Anderson, Perth, who worked in forestry for many years.
Tam says:
“I worked on three estates in Scotland, Dunecht, Dupplin and Stobhall -so most of my work was in Forestry for 50 years starting in Dye’s sawmill in Kinross at the age of 15.
This photo of the felled beech tree that had died is probably one of the biggest trees I ever felled”.
Note the Ford tractor forwarder parked on the side. Also possibly chainsaw, helmet and fuel can at the base of the tree.
Any comments very welcome

Could this be on Dupplin Estate as far as I can remember they had a County forwarder for a few years?
