Thinning site on Stobhall Estate
The image is courtesy of Tam Anderson, Perth, who worked in forestry for many years.
Tam says:
“I worked on three estates in Scotland, Dunecht, Dupplin and Stobhall -so most of my work was in Forestry for 50 years starting in Dye’s sawmill in Kinross at the age of 15.
Here some of the men who worked with me on Stobhall Estate are Alistair Cameron and Alistair Scott on a thinning.”
Note the loggers belt, loggers tape in action and probably safety leggings. Is that a Husqvarna saw?
The PDF shows another view of the thinning operation and Jim Faichney, another chainsaw operator.
