Informal occasion in Newton Nursery, Elgin
The photograph is courtesy of Myra Younie who maintained a collection of Forestry Commission event and retirement photographs when she worked in the forestry offices in Morayshire. Note that LOM refers to Laigh of Moray forest Unit which included Culbin, Monaughty, Roseisle as well as Newton.
The occasion is not recalled but Duncan Menzies, Banchory, indicates it could be Sandy Hogg showing two Telegraph Pole Buyers around the area and dropping into Newton Nursery to show the Buyers where all the trees begin life.
