100 years of Scottish Forestry Event at Contin – Tool identification
Malcolm Wield, Glenurquhart, forwarded an image of part of a local celebration event to mark the Centenary of the Forestry Commission (as was) or 100 years of Scottish Forestry. The Forestry and Land Scotland staff from the new Northern Region based in and around Inverness, Glen Affric and Contin and also those from Scottish Forestry, Highland, organised and took part in the event.
A table display of old and not so old tools from the past which was used to test the memories of the visitors and their knowledge of names and use of each numbered item. The items have been renumbered here and in the enlarged photo version. Website users are invited to submit in the comments section the name of tool and also name of manufacturer or supplier.
