Forestry team at Daviot Vintage Agricultural Machine Show

On the last Saturday in September the combined actions of Scottish Forestry fronted by Amada Ophof, Forest and Land Scotland team based around Inverness and Affric and headed by Doug Mitchell, Alex MacLennan from Forestry England, Bellingham (assisted by Cameron Shaw - brought up the three vintage FC vans), Bob Main, former FC Civil Engineer (with colleagues brought in a host of old tractors, saws, ploughs) and Norman Davidson, retired Forest District manager (set up show of old forestry photographs from Forestry Memories website and some old booklets) put on a great display very worthy of the Vintage event and also as a fitting local tribute to the past 100 years of Forestry in Scotland.

The wet weather on the day did ease a little to enable a smaller that normal crowd to attend and to see the many vintage machines to go through their paces.
