One of a series of maps and drawings found in old ex military map cases stored in the loft of the Fort August Forest office and recovered by Grant Macintosh.

A plan and longitudinal section drawing of a 30 foot plus deep burn crossing with the aim of placing a five foot steel culvert to carry the water and enable two forest roads to be joined allowing easier access particularly if forest operations were blocking one end.

The two roads in question are the Stables and Garage forest roads both of which exit onto the public road. The attached PDF shows the various cross sections of the road formation and also some of the built up road bed. The survey and drawings was completed by Mike Johnson in 1964
