Date Added: 29 January 2008 Contributor: Norman Davidson Year of Photo: 1943 Picture No: 299

Picture courtesy of John Coutts husband of late Gladys Coutts WTC.

Picture taken in 1943 of two Timber Jills felling a laid in tree with a cross cut saw. As Gladys Donald was stationed first at the camp at Garlogie then Corsindae it is thought that the felling in the picture took place in either area.
The picture expresses well some of the hard work and physical effort that the Women's Timber Corps members experienced.
