Draining plough at Flanders Moss, Achray Forest
Forestry Commission copyright image of Forest Research photographs courtesy of Glenn Brearley, Roslin. B4814
Photographs taken by D W Henman in Sep 1965 of another single furrow plough and Bogmaster tractor draining the existing double furrow ploughing on Flanders Moss. The coulter discs on this plough are smaller than the ones on the single mouldboard plough used earlier in the year.
The ploughed is creating a deep clean drain and this section seems to have numerous of these cross drains successfully ploughed already.
