Report No 27 - The Ransomes Vibro Hoe
Two files containing about 65 Head Quarters Mechanical Development Committee Reports from 1950 to 1958 were saved from destruction by Jim Christie former Forestry Commission HQ, Plant Engineer. Report No 27 covers a trial of a vibrating hoe blade machine and highlight some of the costs of weeding nurseries in 1954. The circulation notes for East Scotland to Messrs. Peniston, Dier and Bleukinsop indicate that one such hoe was on order for Kirkhill Forest Nursery but none for Ledmore Nursery (another Conservancy?)
