Small fenced enclosure on Balmoral Estate – heavily grazed vegetation outside
The images are from photographic slides courtesy of Abbie Gordon, Banchory. This image demonstrates the dramatic effects of heavy grazing on the pine wood understory and ground cover as against the un-grazed protected area within the fence. Note the abundant regeneration of the Scots pine.
