Regulation Accident Book – Dornoch Forest entries 1957-1978
A few filled in pages of the regulation Accident Book (Form B.1.510) have been scanned and added as a PDF which can be access via a link at the bottom of this text.
This record names several workers and the accidents they suffered while at their work in the Forest or Nursery. The accidents include several incidents of cuts from grass hooks while weeding and scrub cutting, cut and crushed finger while debogging a lorry, thrown off a tractor while travelling empty down a slope in Rogart, rupture while lifting fence strainers, nail into foot from lining out board in nursery, knife cut while repairing a grass hook handle, bruised thumb when replacing heavy spring below Fiat ploughing Tractor FC3533, cutting broom when a piece pierced eye, cut with axe snedding a tree and struck on head by turning lining out machine in nursery.
