George Pringle visiting Forest Research area in Clashindarroch Forest
This photograph was part of a collection passed to Forestry Memories from a storage shed in Newton Nursery used by Forest Research.
Very little is noted about George but it is assumed this is a pre retirement tour giving George as Forest Research Chief Forester based in Wales the opportunity to visit and pass comment on some of the former research sites that he worked on.
It is possible George’s family may have come from an area south of Edinburgh but any details would be very welcome.
