The image is courtesy of his son Robert Nicolson who recalls:

‘The sign writing on the cab says "Cameron Chapleton, Timber Ltd., Boat of Garten", but as far as I was aware he was employed by BSW sawmills. Maybe the truck belonged to Cameron Chapleton and when BSW took over the sawmill they never got round to repainting the lettering?

Anyway the truck was replaced with newer versions around the late eighties/ early nineties and became a shunter around the sawmill yard. We lived in Dulnain Bridge and dad got to take the truck home every day.

I also remember one day taking it to the Baillie Brothers garage in Garmouth for a service or MOT.’

Can anyone clarify when the ownership of Boat of Garten sawmill passed to BSW?

Hopefully someone will specify the Foden lorry model and that of the lorry behind.

Dad's was a Foden Haulmaster (s10?) 8x4.
There was another Haulmaster ,(maybe an artic?) driven by _______ "parahandy" Eddie.
The truck behind , I think was an S80 or S83 as it was older & stood out from the other two,not sure of the drivers name.
