Head Foresters house and garden Strathyre

Photograph courtesy of William Fleming, Polmont who worked in Strathyre Forest as an apprentice Forest Craftsman and stayed in the hostel for a time around 1957-58.

The Forestry Commission house at Strathyre occupied at the time by Head Forester Alastair Cameron who presented a show piece garden for the passing tourist traffic.
