David Foot has a collection of old FC photos, most of which show senior staff at Corstorphine or, more often, somewhere else in Scotland. Norman Davidson is planning to download them on the Forestry Memories website. The article has a photograph which was believed to have been taken in Ludlow.
Written in Stone: The Walls that Celebrate Life
Amy Jane Beer describes the new huge Dry Stone Wall Maze being built in Dalby Forest, Yorkshire. The project is mainly funded by public donations. You can pay for a stone, or buy a block carved with your initials or those of a loved one. Or you can join a stone carving workshop and inscribe a stone yourself.

Campsite News from the New Forest
Martin Fletcher includes a photograph showing former New Forest campsite wardens and FC staff enjoying lunch at The Huntsman Inn, Brockenhurst in July. Wardens from Hollands Wood, Holmsley, Ashurst, Roundhill, Setthorns and Longbeech / Ocknell ran the campsites in the 1980s and 1990s.

Brian Greig recommends the book Norwegian Wood Chopping, Stacking and Drying Wood the Scandinavian Way by Lars Mytting. He says the book has superb photographs with pictures of amazing log piles. There is a section on how a person’s character can be judged by the state of their log pile.
