Harvesting Photographs 1987 – 1992
Donald Beaton arrived at Dornoch Forest District circa 1985 as District Forester in charge of Standing Sales (small programme then), Private Woodlands and Nursery. A keen photographer, he produced a number of photographic albums one of which was Timber Harvesting Machinery in the district during the period 1987 -1992 period. He also included in the same album photographs of some of the native and broadleaved woodlands in Caithness and Sutherland. The album is reproduced here in 3 PDF files attached to Photograph Images Nos 525, 526 and 527.
