Ogilvie’s Lorries loading pulp from Blackhall Forest 1972
The image is from a photograph collection that was originally stored at Kincardine Forest District.
High quality series of images by I A (Tony) Anderson, the Forestry Commission photographer based in Alice Holt assigned Number B7177. The timber is located at Kettoch, Compartment 106 in Blackhall Forest and from P42 Norway spruce.
The lorry belonging to Wm Ogilvie, Muir of Ord with the Hiab loader has a registration number OJS 22K and the other with no loader NJS 57K. Can the drivers be named? See Below and other image in No 5253
The three metre pulp would almost certainly have been driven to the Fort William Pulp at Corpach.
Just been informed that this image is recorded in No 5077 but taken by another person, George Dey - District Officer at Banchory, who will likely have accompanied Tony Anderson. Brian Fletcher commented on that image saying it was he who was on the lorry with the Hiab and Arthur Ashcroft the other lorry driver.
