Newton Nursery 50th anniversary
The photograph is courtesy of Myra Younie who maintained a collection of Forestry Commission event and retirement photographs when she worked in the forestry offices in Morayshire. Note that LOM refers to Laigh of Moray forest Unit which included Culbin, Monaughty, Roseisle as well as Newton forestry areas.
Open day in 1981 celebrating the 50th anniversary since the forest nursery was started. The nursery is still going strong and seems to be working towards its century in 2031!
