Fixed Point photography – Black Wood of Rannoch
Photograph is courtesy of Alan Stevenson, Inverness, who from the mid 1990s was heavily involved in directing the improvement of existing native woodlands in Forest Enterprise Scotland forests and also in extending their area.
One lower cost tactic to assess the woodland or forest condition was the use of Fixed Point Photography to take images of the same area from the same point at periods of several years apart.
This area may well be one point in the Black Wood can anyone recall the operation and say how many fixed points were used?
Were they photographed again or previously?
