Hand Draining operation in the Barracks section- Rannoch Forest

The photographs are courtesy of Iain Robertson passed via Duncan Menzies.

One of the forest team heading back to his draining rutter and shovel after a piece break. They are obviously cutting across the ploughing to drain all the water trapped in the plough furrows.

A very necessary operation in Rannoch Forest with all its undulations and mounds.

Can anyone name the worker?
