The Fiat 100C1 was a fairly robust tractor fitted with quite a long track frame and wide track plates. The previous generation of mounted tine tractors were its smaller cousins the Fiat 70s which did have narrow tracks and track plates rendering it very liable to bogging is soft ground but ideal in working steep rocky slopes. The Fiat 100 was also used as a trail plough machine hence the drawbar conversion piece fitted on the running board in front of the cab. Note front mounted hydraulic winch and lights.

The operator here of this machine FC No 67076 is Donald Stirling.
