Mounted tine ploughing at Glenmore, Ardnamurchan, Sunart Forest

Two Fiat tractors and their operators in a pause from working on the steeper slopes of the forest area. The Fiat 70 in on the left operated by Jocky Thomson, Alt Sigh, Loch Ness side and the Fiat 100C1 on the right operated by Donald McVicar (MacVicar). The Fiat 100 was also used as a trail plough machine hence the drawbar conversion piece fitted on the running board in front of the cab. The debogging sling fitted to the front drawbar shackle and fixed over the top of the engine cover certainly looks up to the job if it was ever needed!
This looks like the mid to northern part of the Glenmore block where the rock geology changed more towards basalt with redder soils.
