BTD6 with direct drive cable winch
Photograph is courtesy of Jim Christie, Crook of Devon, a former senior mechanical engineer in the Forestry Commission.
This beautiful image of a new tracked tractor outside some depot has no information attached. The year, location and purpose of the tractor are unknown.
The fitted drawbar indicates that it may have been designated as a ploughing tractor as does the welded extensions to the track plates. There is certainly a large hydraulic oil tank but no hydraulic pipe connectors can be seen but possibly hidden under diesel tank. A substantial cab by Cab Craft finishes of the outfit.
Any information would be very welcome. Location?
