Another image of the Cuthberson Water Buffalo Reg no LYM824 in Loch Ard Forest pulling a narrow single furrow deep draining plough. This is another image from the operation as shown in Record No 2195.

The very wide metal drum wheels must have been very difficult to keep from puncturing and filling up with water and peat. This system was overtaken by multiple tyred wheels linked together.
