Event in Cairnbaan Hotel – Forestry Commission staff
The image is courtesy of Janet Quarton who was one of the forest staff based at Knapdale and Cairnbaan for some time.
Not a great deal is known about this event or the people featured. However Janet recognises Pat Thomas (Area Civil Engineer based at Cairnbaan) on the left and believes J Dishington (West Scotland Conservancy Civil Engineer) is in the middle. The man on the right has not been named.
Can anyone name the man on the right and give the first name of J Dishington?

Hi there, Pat (his known name but actually the PA came from Philip Allen) Thomas was my dad and it is indeed John Dishington in the middle. I do not know who the gentleman is on the right although he looks familiar. My mum may know. FYI dad went on to be the Mid-Scotland (Conservancy?) Civil Engineer (based in Glasgow) prior to his retirement in the 90's. Sadly he passed away in 2002 although my mother, the artist Ann Thomas, still lives in Tarbert.
