This Forestry Commission booklet is courtesy of Dave Stewart whose father George was a forester for many years in the Forestry Commission.
This Policy and Procedure Paper No 3 may have been produced as early as 1980 or perhaps a little later but no date reference has been found so within the document.
This document can be seen in total as an attached PDF below and has a series of chapters dealing with design principles of forest landscapes, buildings and recreation sites within the forest mainly based on Sylvia Crowe’s authored Forestry Commission Booklet No 44 – The Landscape of Forest and Woods.
