Goshawk nest Clashindarroch Forest

Mick Canham, Wildlife Ranger Manager from Culloden, climbing his way gingerly up a tall larch tree in Clashindarroch Forest towards a Goshawk’s nest. Larch trees are not the easiest of trees to climb as the branches can be very brittle and break suddenly. Difficult to see here but Mick must be using tree climbing spikes and several waist belt strops to get around the branches.
