Photograph is courtesy of David Sutherland, Aberchirder, who is a Wildlife Ranger in Moray and Aberdeenshire Forest District based at Huntly.

This is Mick Canham, Wildlife Ranger Manager from Culloden, who was a qualified climber and bird ringer working at an osprey nest tree in the Bin Forest near Huntly. This is obviously a constructed nest site and not certain if that is a young osprey in a cloth bag being lowered down to the ground.

A few years later Mick Canham helped construct another nest in a large spruce tree also in the Bin Forest which was used for a couple of years before the birds moved on.
