Deer Fence Photograph

Date Added: 09 December 2018 Contributor: Norman Davidson Year of Photo: 1970 Picture No: 4316

This image was found by Avril MacLennan in the Forestry Commission Office at Golspie (North Highland Forest District) as part of a presentation. No details however were available.

The year is estimated at around 1970 from the type of Deer fencing employed which is rectangular mesh wire of possibly the Rylock type C8/80/15 with Sheep Net used as the top net.

The outline of the person looks very like Hamish Reid a forester on Skye about this time and assume the location is somewhere on Skye.
