Strathyre Forestry Hostel boys circa 1955
Photograph courtesy of William Fleming, Polmont who worked in Strathyre Forest as an apprentice Forest Craftsman and stayed in the hostel for a time around 1957-58.
Some earlier hostel members and staff outside the hostel - in this case Gordon Watson on the left and Peter Viera on the right.
Gordon went on to attend a Forester Training School and was at one time Head Forester at Rumster Forest before moving to forests near Pitlochry then part of Tay Forest District.
Any more information would be very welcome.
