History Whitehaugh Forest, Aberdeenshire 1934-51

A number of these Forest Histories were found in the Huntly Office which detail the bare bones of the forestry story of each of the local Forests from their first days to 1951 when a decision appears to have been taken at Head Quarters that these be written up.
Written very much from the point of view of Senior Staff and limited in local staff detail they do give a flavour of the early struggles to achieve an established forest and also a list of senior and forester staff over the period.
