Road making in the Borders

Unidentified location and year make it difficult to place this photograph but the vehicle types, small International Dozer and Scammell lorry, points to the mid 1970s possibly later.
The road appears to be well established and the work shown may be the widening of a section for stacking timber or allowing timber lorries to pass.
Can anyone help with more details or fix the year photograph was taken?
