Osa harvester working in Argyll
Photograph courtesy of Forestry Commission via David Foot, Surrey.
The working location of this Osa harvester is unknown other than Argyll also year photograph was taken is guessed but could be the first FC double grip harvester working down in Knapdale Forest - FC64017 operated by Iain MacIntyre from Ford and Stan Hilliard from Port Anne on an overlapping shift.
Can anyone confirm?

This is definitely 64017 and the larger version of the picture shows Stan is at the helm. The 3 facts that he has his helmet on, that the machine is on a late thinning and that the photo is from David Foot make me suspect this is not Argyll but the occasion when we took the machine over to Aberfoyle for a demonstration for the Forestry Commissioners Tour in 1986. Bill Meadows might be able to confirm the stand as he was on H&M locally at the time.
