Achdregnie — Glenlivet Forest

The image shows David Foot, then District Officer covering the forests in part of Morayshire, and Forester/Head Forester Gordon McBain overlooking what is taken to be a part of Glenlivet Forest.
Details not well remembered. Can anyone confirm location and if Gordon McBain name is correct?

This looks like it is taken on the internal forest road on Cairn Muldonich around NJ241256 overlooking the Whitefolds plantation. Achdregnie farm would be just out of sight to the right of the photo and Whitefolds farm to the left.

The Forester on the right is certainly Gordon McBain. My father David McDonald worked under him for many years at Fetteresso. I also worked there under Mr McBain on leaving school in 1958 until 1961. I last heard of him at Kenmore? with the Commission. Very good memories of him - lovely man with a lovely family.
