Fix wing aircraft fertilising
The photograph is courtesy of Inverness, Ross and Skye Forest District and staff at their Fort Augustus office.
Location not shown but this aircraft was used on a Forestry Commission fertilising contract on quite a number of Forests around 1975. It was cheaper than the little helicopters carrying a pannier each side and a pay load of six hundredweight but required long flat, firm fields to land, load and take off again. The registration number is again G-AXFF and described elsewhere on the website.
Does anyone remember this aircraft working in forests?
