Benmore ForesterTraining School - 1964
Front view of the training school which was formerly a large mansion house and gardens built for the Younger family of the then beer drinks fame. The gardens with their very extensive collection of rhododendrons and tree species, was and is still managed by Edinburgh Botanical Gardens. The tower to the left was part of the dormitory accommodation for the students, rooms to the front left were lecture venues whereas on the right hand side lower rooms were mainly administration and offices, the floor above a flat for one of the forester lectures and his family - at this time Jimmy Wilson.
