Is it still possible to get one of these books as I have an interest in the Benmore school? Comment left on 09 April 2009 at 20:22 by John McIntyre.
I have just had permission from Henry Smith to copy the text of his booklet 'The Forester Training Schools 1904-1971' on to this web site. It has been scanned into 7 PDFs the first of which is placed here on Forestry memories Picture No 306. The other 6 PDFs will follow in sequence from Picture No 669 to Picture No 674. My father John Craig Udale (born 20.4.24)went to forestry school just after the second world war. I thought it was in Norfolk but failing that it may have been in the Forest of Dean. Is there anyway I can find out for sure where father went. I am writing up our family history and this is a big gap right at the beginning! Comment left on 06 April 2022 at 15:17 by jain anne castiau
