Maps are courtesy of Moray and Aberdeenshire Forest District.

One of a set of four maps covering Rosarie Forest following a full mapping exercise by a Forest Survey team. The resulting information has been printed out by the Forestry Commission HQ cartographic department in 1968 and issued by the FC Aberdeen Office.

The compartment areas have been renumbered and some areas changed but the species and original year planted are fully annotated. This map which covers the western side of the forest (just east of Rothes) centred on Knock More and Ben Aigan has compartments running from No 93 – No 207 and for some reason the areas under agriculture as No 57 throughout the forest. Note the pencilled in changes to the numbers.

Any details about the woods or your work in these woods are very welcome.
