Shandford Lodge Training Centre Staff c1944

This historically important photograph, possibly taken around 1944 shows the war time Shandford Lodge staff who managed and trained the groups of Women’s Timber Corps members for a month and latterly a six week period following their initial assignment into the Corps from civilian life. In all it seems that over 3000 girls were given training at Shandford Lodge (located near Brechin in Angus not Fife -Thanks James - see comments) before being posted all over the country.
