Sigle Furrow Ploughing - Glenbranter - Bowen 60

Date Added: 20 August 2007 Contributor: Norman Davidson Year of Photo: 1974 Picture No: 237

Two Bowen 60s pulling single furrow ploughs (S45/-/t) in Glenbranter according to writing on slide in 1974. The tractor nearest camera has registration EHM732J and the other is possibly EHM686J but very indistinct. Plough furrows are suprisingly wide apart but may have been the policy at the time. At 2 metre spacing the peat ribbon would be within 0.3m from the furrow edge leaving quite a narrow platform to walk on.
Can you name the tractor drivers and the site?
There is a mounted tine plough in front in he distance
