Cat D7F Ploughing Tractor - Restock at Devilla
Very little info other than taken in 1973 at Devilla. The tractor Reg No MGN581L looks very new. Cat D7 weighing in at about 22 tonnes complete with a single furrow mounted tine plough, the furrow at 60 cms depth and the tine going down to 90cms (S60/T90/m ).
Only one or two of these ploughing machines in FC and Reg No should identify driver. Can any one say who it is and who is the nearby gentleman in the yellow sweater?

I think the man in the yellow sweater is Donald Thomson, Research Officer for the FC in the late 70's. Donald was a great friend of my father and they developed many ploughs together. Donald went out to Jamaca I think for a short while before returning to the FC but I have not heard of him for quite a long time. I have found your photos and info very interesting and would love to see further photos of Clark Ploughs if you have them.
