A large number drainage machines were demonstrated at an event in Kershope Forest in May 1964. Much of the event appears to have taken place on a cleared windblow site with heavy brash but some sections of standing forest were used to show drainage along cleared and or felled rackways. Photographs by Wm C Anderson.

A series of photographs of a Long Wide County with a Massey Ferguson 220 Digger attached working within the forest and also out on the clearfelled area. This again looks like a Forestry Commission outfit with the registration number 950ELM. In the wet felled area the operator has dug a wide efficient looking drain in what must have been a very wet soft area.
