Short Wide County tractor bogged

Possibly Moss of Cree Wigtownshire where the plough with floats was being tried out in 1959. Fowler tractor at the rear has a Cuthbertson plough frame mounted on large floats. The pair of tractors appear to have been pulling the plough to carrying out wide spaced ploughing to enable turfs to be cut later by hand and spread in between for planting trees into. This would indicate soft peat with high risk of bogging if normal plough spacing was used.
On this very soft deep peat on a lowland moss and the lead tractor has simply broken through the surface vegetation and sunk down on one side. The driver has obviously stopped immediately and probably now awaiting another machine or extra help to start debogging.
