The Tolne plough was introduced to UK in 1956 for a trial and was reported on in the HQ Machinery Development Committee report No56 which can be seen elsewhere on this website with photographs of that time. The plough is largely intact but missing the ploughman’s seat and its mounting bracket as well as one of the spring side guides or packers.
