Begg Plough and Tractor at Craik Forest
Forestry Commission copyright images of Forest Research photographs courtesy of Glenn Brearley, Roslin. Nil Ref No.
This image was wrongly headed as Fowler tractor but looks more like International TD9 or similar. Can anyone confirm? The tractor has a large mechanical winch on the back but no winch rope on the drum. The track plates are mounted on a track chain but the plated have been extended a few inches on the outside by a few inches.
Again the Begg plough is turning out a large well formed single furrow for some type of demonstration or visiting party. Note the two controlling ropes.
