One of a series of 10 photographs showing a cut turf producing plough being demonstrated at Twiglees Forest west of Lockerbie. This twin furrow plough produced a furrow either side of the drain but as it had an additional turf cutting wheel mechanism fixed on the frame the lines of turf were cut into 30 inch segments.
This photograph details: ‘B2095 Plough about to enter ground – Twiglees Oct 1947.’
