New Type of FC Plough — Langdale, Broxa area

Caption reads: New type of FC plough in its original form (see report of 10.9.42). This Model was used in the Langdale-Broxa area for the major part of the P43 ploughing and mixture trials.’
Another note adds ‘Forerunner of the RLR plough’.
The larger dimension of the main beam springs to note and also the number of adjustment holes along its length. The vertical piece of supporting metal between beam and the plough sock and share has very unusual shape in that a part of it seems at right angles to the flow of the land past the plough body. There are no signs of coulters and the purpose of the two arms with hooked ends partially filled with cross pieces is also a bit of a mystery.
Any explanations would be very welcome.
