Ian has kindly sent in this image of the BTD20 tractor when it was in Allean Forest pulling the Lokomo Plough. The outfit had arrived in Scotland from Wales along with driver and was carrying out deep ploughing in several forests with compacted mineral soils.

This front view shows of the enormous hydraulic winch with its radial motors which must have been capable of pulling well in excess of 20 tons but perhaps someone will confirm. Note the large spikes on the front which were driven into the ground by lowering the A frame and anchored the tractor solidly whenever it started hauling the large Lokomo plough towards itself. It was a case of repeatedly lifting the A frame, run backwards on the drain line paying out the winch rope, lock down and start winching in the plough.
